WARRANTY INFO

 
  • FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP -- warrants each Custom Aire air conditioner to be free of defect in material and workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles after installation in the original buyers automobile.

 

  • FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP -- will honor this warranty to the original purchaser or to any authorized car dealer or air conditioning distributor installer participating in this warranty program. Defective parts covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced at our office when defective parts are delivered, shipping charges prepaid, to FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP, 330 Culebra Road, San Antonio, Texas 78201. Drive belts, bolts and fuses shall be warranted only for a period of 90 days. There is no warranty expressed or implied against loss or replacement of refrigerant or to any routine maintenance, improper installation, misuse, negligence accidental damage or improperly repaired or altered unit so as to effect its performance and reliability. FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP will also pay to the original purchaser or participating agencies the authorized charges for repairing or replacing the above-mentioned defective parts during the warranty period.
  • The warranty registration card must be correctly completed and mailed to the above-mentioned address within 10 days of the original installation.

A/C SYSTEMS TRAVELING CUSTOMER WARRANTY

  • Any CUSTOM AIRE customer traveling away from his home who experiences warranty problems should call for in-transit warranty assistance at (210) 732-9984. A customer service representative will provide assistance. If a representative is not available simply leave your name and number and your call will be returned as quickly as possible.

A/C SYSTEMS CALCULATION OF WARRANTY PERIOD

  • Warranty coverage commences on the day when the unit is delivered to the original purchaser. Warranty coverage expires when any of the following occurs.

    A 12 months (365) days after date of delivery to the original purchaser.
    2. 12,000 miles after date of installation of the air conditioner.
    3. Upon sale by the original retail purchaser.


A/C REPAIR PARTS LIMITED WARRANTY

FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP warrantees its repair parts products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 6 months from date of shipment to the original purchaser. This warranty covers any repair parts furnished by FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP but does not include labor of any kind and/or material not furnished by FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP or any charges for any such labor or material including any refrigerant, lubricant or seals.

The limited warranty is void if the product is subjected to misuse, negligence or operating conditions other than those for which such equipment was designed, or has been repaired or altered or when chemicals or any ingredient(s) other than approved refrigerants are used. This warranty does not cover any compressor purchased if the accumulator/filter drier is not purchased at the same time. Prior to installation of the compressor and the accumulator/filer drier, the a/c system must be flushed of all contaminates and the expansion valve(s) and/or orifice tube(s) must be checked and must have unrestricted flow. This warranty does not cover the physical or chemical effects of any corrosive substance in the operating environment of the equipment. This warranty is extended to and enforceable only by the original purchaser. Electrical components are not returnable if installed.

FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP’S warranty of this repair parts product is to be free from all defects in material and workmanship, as limited herein, shall be in lieu of and exclusive of all other warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Purchaser’s sole remedy for breach of this warranty, exclusive of all others provided by law, shall be limited to repair or replacement of any part or parts which shall, within 6 months from date of shipment to the original purchaser, be returned to FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP with all transportation expenses prepaid by purchaser and after examination by FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP determines that said part is defective. Purchaser’s remedy does not include reimbursement of any expenses incurred for labor or material charges incident to the replacement, removal or installation of any part including any refrigerant, lubricant or seals.

FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP in no event shall be liable to the purchaser for direct, indirect, special or consequential damages or loss of production or loss of profits or claims of third parties against purchasers, resulting from any cause whatsoever, including those resulting from the order or use of FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP repair parts products, and FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP is sole liability to the purchaser for any cause of action, whether based upon negligence, contract or strict liability, shall be the repair or replacement remedy set forth in the preceding paragraph.

This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING CORP neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any obligation other than as herein expressly stated.

General

All A/C repair parts sold are for factory installed A/C and compatible with R12 (freon) and R134a (refrigerant) unless noted. Compressors are shipped without oil unless noted and are not warranted if the Accumulator/Filter drier is not replaced and the system is not flushed prior to replacement (see warranty section). Purchase of any repair part acknowledges that you have read and accepted our warranty, return and core polices. Cost does not include sales tax, shipping and handling. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices quoted are for items shipped within the continental U.S. only. Sales tax will be charged on all orders with Texas unless your Texas tax exempt status has been verified and is on file. Your final cost will be displayed at time of checkout. All pictures are displayed for reference purpose only. Pictures are not intended to represent the exact product or manufacturer being purchased. Some remanufactured products are represented by new product pictures.

Core Handling Policy

We do not charge a core charge at the time of purchase. Instead, we have a core return tag charge. The tag charge will be shown as a separate, non-discounted line item on an invoice. The core must be returned in the original shipping box. The tag is to be applied to the original box and handed to the U.P.S. driver the next day. The core return tag (A.R.S. label) has a tracking number. Save the number to insure that you are not charged a core charge (some cores are $165.00). A core return tag is marked “core” and may only be used to return the core it came with to insure proper credit. If a core is not returned within 45 days, a core charge may be applied to your account. On certain new compressors, a core return tag will be issued. We have incorporated the core credit into the new price to lower your cost.

Merchandise Return Policies

  • We are unable to send replacement parts to C.O.D. customers free of charge. We will issue a refund check when returned parts are received at our location. Call our R.M.T. operator for return tag.
  • New or rebuilt merchandise, offered in this catalog, may be returned within 45 days of purchase with prior written approval on an R.M.T. and are subject to a 15% restocking charge unless accompanied by an offsetting order for an equal dollar amount. No cash settlement will be made.
  • A copy of the approved R.M.T. must accompany the merchandise as a packing slip.
  • Do not send return items, which are not listed on the R.M.T.
  • Get and retain a tracking number on all items returned to us. This is your only proof to the carrier that item was sent back.
  • Merchandise must be in unopened, factory –fresh packages. When repackaging is required (example: “Defective” written on new return) to restore the merchandise to marketable condition, an additional 10% cost will be charged to the customer.
  • All merchandise returned for credit must be shipped freight prepaid.
  • Credit cannot be given to shipments returned to us without prior approval.
  • Credit for approved returns will be issued according to prices in effect at the time the merchandise was purchased, and the credit will be applied to accounts receivable against the oldest balance owed.
  • Return good’s privileges will apply only to customers whose accounts are in a current condition. No cash settlement will be made.
  • The customer shall not deduct amounts for returned merchandise from payments made. When approved returned merchandise transactions have been received, we will forward returned product to the original manufacturer. After he inspects and processes the merchandise, he will promptly issue credit to us and us to you. No deduction will be allowed until the credit memo has been issued.

Total annual returns shall not exceed 5 percent (5%) of the net dollar purchases direct from us during the previous calendar year.
